Websites
I hadn’t done any website development until I started working for World Class. I’ve since become quite familiar with Dreamweaver and Flash and have designed many other websites.
Advertising
I’ve done a lot of advertising in my career. Here are a couple of the latest ads we’ve had in national magazines.
Tradeshows
I love doing tradeshows. I’ve been doing tradeshow coordination for about 8 years now and it never gets old. I have expertise in doing everything from the early planning stages of the show (ordering space, utilities, carpet, ect.) to designing the booth and graphics to actually working the shows. I’ve enjoyed having the opportunity to see different parts of the world
Promo Items
I’ve designed a lot of different promotional items. I’ve done shirts, pens, golf balls, golf tees, stress ball dice (for Vegas show), bags, necklaces, water bottles, hats and much more. We would often bring two or three promotions to each trade show.
Direct Mail Promotions
We did a lot of direct mail promotions with Ortho Classic. Most mailers offered a monthly sale or promoted a new product. We tried to include a “Call to Action” with every mailer and tracked the success of the promotions with promo codes and special phone numbers. We did a lot of postcards but also used On-Card, which is a company that specializes in plastic post-cards with credit card size pop-outs. These worked extremely well and got the consumers attention.
Animation
On occasion I’ve even had the opportunity to design simple animation. I created the Tenbrook Axis bracket logo and then animated it for a PowerPoint presentation that I was giving to the doctor.

One of the cool things about working with World Class and Ortho Classic is that they really didn’t have any marketing direction at all when I started. I was able to create the image and look of both companies and their products and it all started with the logos.
The Graphic Design Years
I worked for 5 years with Freelin-Wade and their sister companies. The business consisted of 4 companies each with their own individual marketing needs. Coilhose was the parent company and was involved in the manufacturing of pneumatic products marketed directly to suppliers. Freelin-Wade (the location which I worked at) specialized in pneumatic tubing. Acme Automotive dealt with automotive supplies, once again with a specialty in the pneumatic market. Coil Solutions sold coiled garden hoses directly to the retail market. It was great experience with a lot of diversity between the companies marketing directions.
I designed all 4 companies catalogs and related marketing materials including; brochures, packaging, magazine advertising, newsletters, logos, tradeshow materials and handouts. I also handled Freelin-Wades CRM software and directed the sales lead program.

Coil Solutions
Coil Solutions providing me with the opportunity not only to do catalog and literature design, but to do a lot of packaging design. This was also one of my first opportunities to advertise to the retail community instead of direct to suppliers.
Acme Automotive
The Acme Automotive catalog required lots of picture editing. They already had most of the pictures that they wanted to use; unfortunately they were all shot on an ugly background. I spent days editing the photographs but I think the end result was well worth it.
Coilhose Catalog
The Coilhose catalog was a more industrial type of catalog. Coilhose carries a large assortment of pneumatic equipment and their catalog and marketing materials were pretty straight forward.

Freelin-Wade Catalog
I designed many versions of the Freelin-Wade catalog but this was the last one I did. It was a really fun project, the tubing provided lots of color options and I enjoyed making a mundane product visually appealing. See the full catalog here.
